Optional Vacation Trip Insurance
Sunset Properties began offering an optional trip insurance policy in the late '90's to offer its guests protection from hurricanes that might come along the coast. But as we've gone through the years, our guests have found the policy to offer many benefits beyond the simple storm coverage. Unexpected illness, a death in the family, unexpected travel delays, injuries have all been covered for past guests, along with any nights lost due to evacuation of the islands due to a major storm.
The current cost of the policy is 6.5% of the vacation (not including taxes). CSA is the policy provider, and has done a great job through the years in expanding the situations covered by the policy. Listed below are links to both a sales flyer and more detailed information on the coverage.
Trip Insurance must be purchased either at the time of deposit for a reservation, or within 10 days of signing our Vacation Rental Agreement. Coverage for a particular storm is not available for purchase after that storm has been named.
